FOR THE JOY OF PLAYING AND THE LOVE OF LEARNING
We are thrilled to be running Natural Riddim (NR), a transformative arts and wellbeing project launched Dec 2024. This initiative, supported by the Leeds Cultural Investment Programme, will engage young people aged 13-18 from the Little London and Woodhouse communities.
Through 16 inspiring sessions, participants will:
- Connect with nature on guided walks locally and a Yorkshire Dales trip.
- Create calming soundscapes using natural recordings and meditative breathing techniques.
- Collaborate with experienced artists, including Christella Litras, and digital innovators at the University of Leeds’ Helix hub.
- Share their work in a celebratory launch event in summer 2025 at Stage@Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to enhance their mental health, develop creative skills, and connect with peers and their environment. We’d love your help spreading the word to young people and families in your network.
